Is a Baby Naming Service a good business idea?

A thousand people a day on here ask, "What would be a good name for my baby?" And then they offer five HORRIBLE names, from which you pick the least offensive.

I'm thinking of printing up some business cards and handing them out in the waiting rooms of maternity wards. Charge maybe $500 a baby. Is this a viable business idea? Hmmmm?

Is a Baby Naming Service a good business idea?
honestly... no! but some people are stupid and might pay you!
Reply:Nope! I was once asked by a pregnant single mom friend to suggest a name for her unborn child, based on our culture and heritage.

She chose the name I suggested I consider that to be an honour to this day. Accepting payment would have been unthinkable!

Anyone who would pay maybe shouldnt have a baby they are not fashion accessories.

However a baby making service! Try asking about that:-)

That would be a whole different story:-)

Are you kidding?

5 bucks a kid for suggestions would be better.

If you had really good research and a knack for naming kids, you might be in business.

It's a good idea, but your price would bankrupt you.

And don't go INTO the maternity wards. Put up signs and ads on baby websites and message boards.

At 5 bucks a pop, you might make some money.

Reply:i think the price might scare them off, perhape if you had a web site and created quizes and other games or services to help people come up with names and you charges a small fee to join, like 5 dollars, and then charged a few dollars for differnt aspects, that could add up for you but never felt like a major comminmemt from then people would do it. --especially if it was fun.
Reply:Hahah, no that's a terrible idea.

A, people could just buy a book for like $15. And B, the names you think are good are just your own personal opinion. You don't seem capable of taking into account other people's preferences.
Reply:I think you need to relearn everything that founds the basis of logical thinking in the human brain.
Reply:Do it. It'll cost you nothing.

When we named our kids, we when fishing names for ages until the right name came along.
Reply:Yes. I promised my brother he could name my twins. He called the girl Denise. (I was surprised because he is a big joker.) He couldn't help himself though. He called my son Denephew.

Reply:Yeah and it already exists.
Reply:$500? haha. :) made me giggle. That would be a cool idea, though.
