Naming an Entity and operating under a DBA?

I need to name my entity, an LLC and I was wondering if people often choose obscure names and then operate under DBA's? Advantages?

Naming an Entity and operating under a DBA?
Why did you form an LLC? What kind of business is it? Is there a ton of liability? If not, you just waste your money by forming and paying for an LLC. It seems cool, but it's just a waste of money. Buy some bling instead.

A DBA is generally understood to refer to a sole proprietorship - not any sort of LLC. You sound a little confused. Why would you want to hide the name of the LLC? Would that be misleading to a customer and possibly contribute to you losing the liability protection if the customer was able to "pierce the corporate veil?"

I think it could.

visit a biz based on a combination of presumption of need and

presumption of benefits to be derived. THEY have to feel
