The President needs cooperation from the legislature to do anything lasting but here we go:





1. Require national service of some kind after one's 18th birthday as a pre-requisite for citizenship.





2. Get rid of the "race" box on job applications, college applications, census data and everywhere else.





3. Legalize and regulate crimes that don't hurt anybody except when the government prohibits them like marijuana use and prostitution.





4. Institute a national right-to-carry law like Vermont's.

Reply:1- control salaries for high management while raising the minimum wage across the board in order to limit the gap between the super rich and the very poor. There is no reasons that explain a company going bankrupt while paying their CEO a severance package of 150 millions. non sense.


2- find out the real cost for health services such as surgery, medication, test and lab work in order to control the over charge every single patient is faced with, this in its turn will make Insurance Co have to pay less and will allow for lower health care insurance costs.


3- control illegal immigration with a program that makes sense, no amnesty only allow a green card for those who have held a job for the last 3 years minimum send anyone else packing.


4- raise taxes on the rich making 250,000 a year, give a tax cut to the shrinking middle class in order to keep it alive, favor free tax for 3 years and federal fund for one year for new businesses to stimulate the economy and bring jobs back in America.


Notice I did not mention the war in Iraq because there is no solution, either we leave and we create an explosive situation or we stay and will be there for the next 5 years at least.

Other than bringing the troops home, a President would have to work with Congress to accomplish such goals. However, as President, they could lead the charge for Congress to work to make these changes.

Begin working on getting us out of this war we're in. Definitely not an overnight project but one that needs to start.





Make strides towards reconfiguring our healthcare system. Also not an overnight job. It will take a long time but it is something to start sooner rather than later.

Allow special allowances for countries that follow environmental standards and labor laws, and show a reasonable increase in the wages of workers in their countries. The neocon debt should be paid by international corporations who benefited the most from our huge overseas military presence protecting capitalism abroad.





Start enforcing the laws against illegal immigration, and the employers of illegal immigrants.





Withdraw our military from Iraq, and essentially all countries around the world, only keeping bases in strategic locations, and then build up the national guard and reserve units. Provide four years of free college or trade school for all who sign up and serve in the military.





Establish tax free savings accounts for medical expenses, allowing people to borrow when needed to cover expensive illnesses, create a government sponsored catastrophic medical insurance program, and eliminate medicaid.

Start enforcing regulations against businesses, prosecuting fraud, protecting the rights of parents, investing in alternative energy sources, require community service for welfare recipients, and legalize Marijuana.
