What do you think about the name Marley Gwen for a baby girl?

its different. i don't care for it. but if it makes her happy.


do advise her to go into a quiet room and start screaming out first middle and last name (as if child were in trouble) and make sure everything goes together. some mommies don't think about that part.
Reply:I know a girl called Marley and it always raises a few eyebrows, mainly because people think she was named after Bob Marley (funnily enough she was). Unless your friend is a big Bob Marley fan and doesn't mind her female child taking flak for it all her life she should maybe reconsider.





And I agree that Marley Gwen is an unusual and not very appealing combo although both are nice on their own.
Reply:I like Marley. I think it's cute, and while unique and more of a dogs' name than a persons', it's not trashy or too trendy.


The only people I know named Marley are 14+, so I don't think of it to be too babyish, either.


I'm not crazy about Gwen with it, though, but it might sound different with the last name.
Reply:Marley is kind of cute. I think it could grow on my. I do prefer Harley though. And I don't care for Gwen whatsoever. It sounds manly.
Reply:It's cute, but Marley makes me think of Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol or Bob Marley. It doesn't strike me as a girl's name.
