I am thinking about naming my little girl Lili Blossom. What do you think?

I am due March 6, 2009. My Ultrasound isn't until October 23rd, but i feel in my heart that it is a girl.

I am thinking about naming my little girl Lili Blossom. What do you think?
I love that name! I asked about the exact name combo. a long time ago on this place as well and got negative responses though. But I adore the name combo, and I say go with it!!!!





Here is the question I asked, how crazy that we had the same name combo!
Reply:Lily should be spelled Lily. Lili looks incomplete and very awkward.


The name Lily is lovely and would work beautifully on any age girl, but Lili Blossom has "I'm a teenage mother" written all over it. It's immature and childish. Your child will grow into an adult one day and adults aren't named Lili Blossom.

Reply:I like the name lily a lot. However i dont like the spelling "lili" at all. especially if the middle name is blossom- because it ties her to a flower. and lily is a flower. not "lili". also i think when blossom is added on, it sounds incredibly tacky. sorry.
Reply:First off, congratulations on having a baby. It's a beautiful name, but the Blossom part - well reminds me of that bad 80's/90's show Blossom. Also, I would spell it like Lilly - just like the flower. There will otherwise be those substitute teachers who will call her 'Lie -Lie' on accident.
Reply:That is a very cute name for a little girl, however she will be a thirty year old woman one day and it will be hard to be taken seriously with a name like that, I would keep the lily and try to find a more serious middle name, like after a family member maybe.
Reply:It's cute in theory, but it may be a little too much. Over the next week, try introducing yourself to new people as Lili Blossom and see what kind of reaction you get. That'll give you a better idea of what kind of response that name will receive.
Reply:I really really like it, but maybe consider giving her a fuller first name, she may want it when she enters the work force. Maybe Lilian? If not, maybe think about Lily instead, it looks a little more grown up.

How about Lillian Blossom? That way she keeps the formal Lillian, can go by Lilly at school, and Lilly Blossom can be something only her parents call her?

if my name was Lili Blossom, i would want to be home schooled. it is a nice name, but never in a million years would i want to meet the love of my life and tell him my name was lili blossom. it's embarrassing.

i think that Lilli Blossom sounds a little too flowery and too girly if you know what i mean however Lilli and Blossom are nice names but they sound even better when they are not put together.

Reply:I think that you should spell it Lilly because that is the most common. I think that blossom it pretty too. If it is a boy then it could be William because that even has Lili in it. ;D
Reply:Are you a flower? In that case go for it. But if you are giving birth to a small PERSON, perhaps you should drop the Blossom part?
