Reply:Because they will then know our plans. All they have to do is sit back and wait. Actually you would think they would do this now, so we would pull out. But the insurgents are kind of stupid in this sense. We are there because they keep acting up. You would think they would pull back and wait until the time was right. If you are in a bad neighborhood, and you make it common knowledge that you are leaving on vacation on Oct 19th at 8AM for vacation, do you not think that the burglars would then try and mount their operations after that date and time? Building up their plan and executing??





Same thing..... you give them a target when you announce the date and time for moving out. Giving them that info takes away the element of keeping them guessing.
