Got a great idea for a cocktail and it tastes great, would love to market it but no idea where to start, any help would be appreciated, how do cocktails get named anyway??
Has anyone heard of an official body for cocktail making and naming?
It's just by word of mouth truly...Locals will then convince management to put a drink on the menu at the local club and then it will pick up regionally...then go from there, but don't think for a sec you're gonna get credit for it...There are so many names for drinks and then different recipes for the same drinks and it goes on and on...A drinks name and/or recipe is dependent on the bartender also...Sorry if I have crushed your hopes and dreams, but I am just being honest...
Reply:cocktails get named by pissheads who drink to much and then come up with names that are totally irelevant to the drink that has been made ie something that gets you incapable of having sex with your wife or girlfriend is then called "sex on the beach"
