As for the surname, one thing you can do is play with foreign languages and use a word to describe their personality, and people generally won't pick that up if they don't know the language you drew it from.

For example, in a story I wrote once, I named a German Special Agent 'Konstantin Schlagen.' His surname means: 'hitting' in German, which describes what he does, he is an eager fighter who is relentlessly pursues the criminals he's going after.

You said that she look's frightened, so might I suggest making her surname: ' Eagla?' From your description, she looks vaguely Irish; and 'Eagla' means 'scared' in Gaelic.

So my suggestion would be:

'Amber Eagla.'
