What do you think of naming your kids names all starting with the same letter?

I have 2 at the moment Raynah(3 yrs) and Ryland(3 weeks)....and I was talking with my husband about POSSIBLE future babies and "R" names....

Do you think its dumb when people do that? I kinda like it. I realize I'm setting myself up for a lot of confusion as far as calling them goes ..."Ray-----Ryland!!!!" lol

Also...if you have any R names that are unusual I'd like to hear them boys and girls!!

What do you think of naming your kids names all starting with the same letter?
Personally, I think it's tacky.

Since Raynah and Ryland are already similar, you should definitely break the trend if you choose to have more children. Give your next baby a name that is vastly different from the first two, preferably a name with no r's or y's in it. That would establish a separate identity for the children and they would know their names weren't chosen to keep with a theme.

My parents named my two brothers 'm' names that are quite similar, and their middle names were similar as well. It isn't strange, however, because my name is so different from theirs.
Reply:Well I love the names Raynah and Ryland.

My hubby wanted to name all our kids with names that started with J but when we found out that I was pregnant with the twins we chose not to. Personally I think its cool if you name them starting with the same letter as long as they don't match too much like the "Dugger" family.

We had Jocelyn Rayne and Jaidalyn Skye picked out for the twins but than we decided against that. Although now I really love those names.

Well you know I like the name Ryder for a boy, what about Rhianna for a girl, Raelyn for a girl is cute, Riley could be for either. If I come up with more I will send them to you.

My husbands brothers names all start with the letter "T" Tyler, Trenton, and Trystan. His sisters names start with the letter "S" Sabrina, Skyla, and Sierra.
Reply:From personal experience I'm the second oldest of my cousins and the only one whose name doesn't start with the letter A a lot of people ask why I was the odd ball. It kinda gets me when my grandmother introduces us because (not real names) its like... Ana, Kathrine, Austin, Amber, Adraianne, Amy, Amory, Alex and so on... So I would definately keep going with the Rs so that they all feel that they are in a group or something. I just wouldn't get them sounding alike a lot or kinda giving them ryming names you know?
Reply:I hate it. My sister and I (the one I grew up with) both had the same letter first names. Hated it. I have two cousins (who are siblings) with the same letter first names.

I think its stupid. I was forever being called my sisters name and there is a 9 year age gap.

My other siblings all have different letter names (but they are my half siblings that have a different mom)

I will not give my kids the same first letter names

But that is just me

R names:

Remi (Remington) (Boy or girl name)

Rachel (Girl)

Riley (boy)

Rochelle(Girl)

Ryan (boy)

Roman (boy)

Richard (boy)
Reply:I don't think it's weird. It's pretty cute..Just don't get like my grandmother. My uncles are Timmy, Teddy, and Tommy and when she is calling any of them she is always confusing them and call the wrong one! It's gets to the point where she just will yell one of you that starts with the letter "T".
Reply:If it's important to you, why not? Honestly, my sisters and I all have different first initials and still get called by the other's name. I get Sar-Hei-Melissa an awful lot. It's just something that happens naturally when you are frustrated. Here are some "R" name suggestions.

Roman

Rennica
