What is the process of naming your child in the Hospital?

I am giving birth in April and just want to know how do you name your child after he/she is born in the hospital.

They give you the forms for the birth certificate and you fill it out.

All the paperwork is sent home with you.
Reply:You can start calling your baby by the name you choose as soon as she is born, my nurse asked what her name was and announced it in the room, but that was just for fun, the official naming happens when they bring you a birth certificate and social security form to fill out, you will fill out the full name and sign and date it then a few weeks later you will get the certificate and card in the mail. its very simple, they will give you everything you need to fill out.
